Challenger Center

Good News 8th Grade Parents!

Mrs. Parsons thought the Challenger fieldtrip would cost much more than $22.00  which was why it was not originally covered by the fieldtrip fee you paid at the beginning of the year. She has decided that the fee WILL be covered so I only need the Holy Spirit permission slip, the Challenger Internet/Photo permission slip  and the form indicating your intent to drive if that is something you were going to volunteer for.  I will refund the money that has already been sent in.  Thank you.  Betty Pachut

Science - October 8 - 12, 2012

Grade 6

We will be working on our Senses packet.  There will be a quick quiz on the senses on Wednesday and then we will begin Finding the Nerve in the regular textbook.

Grade 7

We will begin the chapter on minerals. This week I hope to cover mineral identification and characteristics and how minerals form.  They are getting their tests on Elements and the Periodic Table back today.  Ask to see them.  Many grades were very good but not all.  Please be sure your child is studying nightly.

Grade 8

We will finish the section called Predicting Weather today.  There is a test on the chapter on Thursday.

This is the last week of the 1st grading period. Parent teacher conferences are next week. Please sign up for the time you prefer.
